Vacation..

.. if the definition is laying on the beach, eating good food, sleeping at a nice hotel, partying with people half your age (who thinks you are almost their age) and having way too much time on your hands, then I'm on vacation.

Thunder storm!

Woke up around 2.30 am by my mum closing the window in my room. She claimed it was a thunder storm outside. 3 hours later the storm was for sure outside! Lightning cut the sky like sharp bright laser swordes and the thunder made my ears hurt and bed shake and the rain created a pool outside on the street. After an hour or so I fell asleep too the thunder lullaby.


Now I'm getting ready for a visit from my high school friend! The topic of this meeting will most likely be horses, since she is as crazy about them as I am :)

Vacation?

Just applied for a job in Seattle :)

Besides that, I'm actually having a good vacation. Good food, sun and lots of rest. What more can one wish for?

... however, the blog is now in English so our American friends doesn't have to translate everything. :)

The Engineer is now in Skanör in Skåne. After a 11 hour flight to sweden, some 6 hours of sleep, wake up 4am and a 7 hour drive through Sweden; the Engineer has taken a walk on the beach while being attacked by millions of knots (eeh.. Spelling?) and been driven around Skanör in a Limo. Pictures will come...

The Engineer thinks it's good to see his family again.

Tomorrow: maybe bathing in the ocean, chilling and celebrating dads 65th birthday.

LA baby!

Det ser ut som om Donnan har säkrat sig en resa till LA för en intervju! Om allt går som smort, så börjar Donnan sin nya postdoc 1 oktober. På UCLA i Los Angeles. Vilket hopp :)

Nu förbereder vi oss för vår sista Filosofikväll för ett tag framöver här i lyan. Det ryktas om margaritas och mojitos i stora lass. Och kycklingspett som Ingenjören marinerat över natten. Mums!

Grill i Beacon Hill

Igår kväll blev vi bjudna på grillning uppe på Beacon Hill. God mat, glada vänner, hissnande Olympic Mountain och en fullständigt strålande solnedgång förgyllde vår tisdagskväll.

Ikväll blir det en happy hour i Fremont med Ingenjörens jobbarkompisar. Jag och Amerikanskan har nästlat oss in och vi ska leta testosteronfylld hunk till henne. Att "bara" umgås med bögar innebär en viss torka i flirtandet som singel tjej :)
